If any of you have been longing to train as astronauts, but felt that giving up coffee was too much of a sacrifice . . . you're in luck! I've just been reading about ISSpresso, the espresso machine on the International Space Station. The first person to try out the coffee from the new machine was Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti on her 2014-5 mission on board the ISS.

I am not a coffee drinker, but British astronaut Tim Peake has said that you can make a good cup of tea on board the ISS. In which case that's an improvement over parts of Colorado where you can't get the water hot enough.
