This morning I saw the Sun!!! For the first time in over a week. And I don't mean just that the weather was overcast. The Sun set when we were a few days up the Norwegian coast and didn't rise again where we were until we came back south. (Not that "south" in Norway is all that far south.) Even in the Arctic Circle at this time of year it isn't completely dark all day. There are a few hours of twilight, but it was dark by the time we'd had lunch.
This morning a beautiful sunrise and then blue skies and sunshine all the way to Bergen. There was more snow than we'd seen on our way north, so an artistic sprinkling of snow on jagged mountains against blue sky was very pretty.
Back in London, it had been raining, but I made it home without getting wet. It seemed quite warm.
