You definitely want a routine, but it doesn't have to mean the same food every day! Eating a healthy balanced meal for dinner is a routine. You can still have an entirely new meal every single day .

Even if you cook ahead, you could just cook a "roast chicken" ahead and then use that meat in an enormous variety of ways with wildly different flavors .
