The Platform International Animation Festival has announced that Katsuhiro Otomo will be making an appearance during their upcoming event. On October 27, 2012, the festival will be presenting Otomo with its first Lifetime Achievement Award. During the festival, Otomo's "Combustible" short film will be screened, and a conversation with Otomo and animation historian Jerry Beck will be held.
The Platform International Animation Festival is taking place October 26-28, 2012 at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater in Los Angeles.
