Screech Owls sound like a Banshee! You are right, Claybird -- they sound like they are moaning and sobbing.

We saw a huge Great Horned owl last night out at the farm. We saw a coyote, too.

The night before that we saw about 40 wild horses. They were right down by the road in the dried grasses and brush eating like crazy. They paid very little attention to us. I took some pics and will put one here if it turns out right.
