I thought you might enjoy reading about a conservation success down here in the Southern Hemisphere.

In 1980 (when my daughter was two) there were only 5 Black Robins (native to New Zealand) left in the world and today there are approximately 250, this is still not a huge amount but it gives hope for the success of this delightful species.
