What is your favorite way to welcome spring?

The moment they appear in the grocery flower section I purchase a colorful primose plant. If I am lucky enough to keep it alive in my office until the ground thaws I plant it outside.

How do you welcome spring?

I just bought two crocus plants last week. One has bloomed already and the other is getting ready to bloom. Unfortunately, they be dried bulbs before the ground thaws here.

I welcome spring by giving the dog a daily bath. smile

Daffodils, gotta be daffodils. I think they are so cheery and seem to be saying "Winter is over! Happy spring!" In the state of Washington there are daffodils just about everywhere you go in the spring and it really brightens up the day to see groups of them scatterd here and there.

Oh I love daffodils too. Being of Welsh heritage it comes naturally to me as they are the national flower. They come in so many varieties.

The Yale campus was a riot of daffodils in the spring. A donor stipulated that they be planted everywhere as part of her donation.
