There seems to be a rash of kid's cooking shows on TV these days including Chopped - kids edition, Rachael and Guy Kids Cookoff, Masterchef Jr.
I will be the first to admit that some kids are cute, however I'm not a fan of these particular shows. I was particularly disturbed by the child preparing the food with the chipped blue nail polish to match her outfit. The camera men kept showing it in close-ups.
I was also disturbed by the young girl on Chopped that said if she doesn't win, it means she is "nothing." Unfortunately she was also the first one chopped.
I love kids and some competition is healthily (sometimes), but there just seems to be something wrong about making these kids compete in these adult-type environments and under this type of pressure.
Is it just me?
