We're in Holy Week 2015, the period between Palm Sunday (when Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey and was hailed as a king) and Easter, the day Jesus rose from the dead and affirmed himself as the savior of humanity.

For those like me who were once believers - and steeped in the traditions of the Roman Catholic church like I was as an Episcopalian - Holy Week was something special. I kept a Holy Lent and Holy Week was the time when I began anticipating the end of my fast and the joyous announcement in church "Alleluia, the Lord is risen. The Lord is risen indeed, alleluia."

To those not steeped in these traditions it may seem silly, but it was special to me. And Easter has to mean something to any other former (recovering?) Christians out there. I can't help but reflect on the meaning of Easter at this time of year, and wonder if anyone else finds herself in the same situation.

Anyone care to share what they're thinking about this time of year?
