Picture books are by far one of my favorite items in the Children's Room at the library. Long before I ever had children, I loved them -- for their artwork, for what they conveyed...it was a way for me to revisit my childhood long after I had left it.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that they are large and rather slim, it is difficult if not impossible to find enough space to display all the ones we might like.

This week's article talks about ideas for making these hidden gems more accessible.

How about you? What are your secrets for patrons access to picture books? If you are a patron, is there something that your library does super well with them? Something you wish they did better?

Have a great weekend!

Brand new picture books are displayed in a new book case. They are also displayed on top of book cases. Other than that, nada.
