Do you prepare your children for the possibility of a teacher of a teacher saying something untrue about your religion? What if a school assignment or activity violates your beliefs? Do you allow your child to participate? If not, how do you handle it?

In 7th grade my son came home and told me they were going to be studying evolution...which I don't believe in... I asked him if he wanted to be excused from participating. He, of course, said no being 11/12. But he did raise the issue to his teacher himself. I know this because I got a call from the teacher a week later. She said that jimmy had informed her and the whole class that he didn't believe in evolution but realized that it was better to know what kind of lies other people were believing than to not know. I was amazed....
