Do you take your kids to church or send your kids to church? Do you think it makes a difference which you do?

I know my boyfriend as a child was taken to church for a while, then sent out the door at around age 7 or so to go on his own. When he was taken he felt like it was a family activity. When he was sent he felt like it was a burden that only he was supposed to do while others didn't do it, and he stopped going.

I think that's how it is for most children. Since I like my religion to be a way of life, I have to take my children and then do what gets taught. I'm not big on the "Do as I say, not as I do" routine. I know that I hate it when my whole family is sick and I go alone, and I'm an adult! I once had someone say she'd noticed us headed to church all dressed up every week, and she thought that must be why we were such a close family. I think she has a point, although just going together was only a part of it, of course-but for us, it's the starting point.
