Caring for a newborn is a demanding job that seems to have no end. You cannot just say, “I don’t feel like doing this today.” Your hormones are raging, and you never get enough sleep. That can cause your negative symptoms of ADD to go wild. How can you effectively care for your little baby?

Parenting a Newborn When You Have ADD
I found it difficult to have my day chopped up by having a newborn. There was never a long stretch of time to accomplish tasks.
I don't let a baby "cry it out." I think that this makes them feel insecure.
Do things for the baby as they come up. Don't put them off! As soon as the baby is wet or poopy, change that diaper. This prevents problems with rashes.
While newborns bring a lot of stress and anxiety into our lives, they are also bringers of great joy and opportunity for growth. Our boys helped me grow in ways that I never imagined. They also brought me closer to my own mother.

Cherish the little ones, and they will grow into children and adults who will cherish you.
