SECOND JUNE 2004 TAROT TRIVIA QUESTION: :music:

Which Tarot Deck sports Guns to represent the Suit of Wands?
Posted By: JanetBoyer Re: Tarot Forum June 2004 Trivia Contest - 06/04/04 10:30 AM
The Victoria Regina Tarot.
Posted By: JanetBoyer Re: Tarot Forum June 2004 Trivia Contest - 06/04/04 10:36 AM
Hmm. But actually, the Victoria Regina Tarot has guns for the Swords suit, not Wands. (Thw Wands suit is fountain pens). VRT is the only deck I know that uses guns, though.
Also the PoMo Tarot uses guns for swords... that's another deck I have but don't use much.
Posted By: shake Re: Tarot Forum June 2004 Trivia Contest - 06/04/04 06:27 PM
Oops, major typo - thanks for pointing out my error - the Question should have said Swords instead of Wands.

I am going to bypass that question since it was worded incorrectly - sorry, I wrote it after writing all night.

Yes, Janet, some of those cards are a real kick. I forgot which one 'The Scream' represented... one of the majors I think.

That was my first deck, if you can believe it. lol It was for my Intro to Creative Writing class-- (WAY back in the day)-- they listed "a tarot deck" as an optional text. We were encouraged to use the tarot for writing exercises. I haven't used it for any actual kind of reading. Almost seems like a joke deck to me. I had some cool writing exercises from it though.

Morning, Janet. Is it Kat Black?
Er... uh... I mean... Good morning, 'June'. (Time for me to make my morning tea.)
I just saw a deck that also has guns... it is based ont he Mexican Dia de las Muertos. The Tarot of the Dead.

Here are some pics
http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/tarot-of-the-dead/
Cool. Interesting deck, done with a sense of humor... but I almost wished they had more images closer to the traditional Dia De Los Muertos. (There probably is a deck like that somewhere, I'm sure.) There's some real possibility with that sort of imagery. Cool stuff. Thanks, Fiona.
Posted By: shake Re: Tarot Forum June 2004 Trivia Contest - 06/07/04 08:41 PM
Yes, Michael,

Kat Black is the correct answer.

That is 2 points for you.

No problem about mistakingly calling me Janet. You should see me with my children sometimes - I tend to get their names mixed up at times, especially if stressed. I call Alex, Che and I've called Che, James,...or Jason, Alex,...and so on. They always sneer at me when I do this,....my Mom used to solve it by calling us all six names at once,...bound to get the right one that way....(I had five younger sisters).
Posted By: JanetBoyer Re: Tarot Forum June 2004 Trivia Contest - 06/08/04 03:47 AM
I sometimes mix up the names of my son and husband (or my younger brother and son!) My Mom comes from a family of 13 and you should hear them mess up names. They go through about 4 before they hit the right one. LOL

Michael, I was thinking The Scream had a bunch of guns pointing at him (a Minor card). Hmm. I can't remember now, though!
