I read, recently, that drinking two cans of an energy drink a day can lead to an increase in blood pressure that can get dangerously high. According to research done at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, doctors there found that 500 millilitres of caffeinated energy drinks a day can cause an increase in heart rate and a 10-point rise in systolic blood pressure. This is just one of the, now, many known side effects of these drinks. Be aware if you are one of the many millions who use these products on a daily basis.
