good or bad? what did you think. Personally I am tired of the red carpet stuff. It makes me tired of the emmys before I even get to watch them. Plus its pretty much the same thing. What are you wearing, who did you bring with you? Did you ever think you would get nominated, where are the after parties. Although the after parties give you good party menu ideas!

I like to watch all the spectacular sensationalism! It is fun to see how different actors and actresses dress up and see what they think is fashionable. Then it's fun to see what all the "experts" think was best and worst.

It HAS become all the same, though. The same groups winning...not necessarily MY favorites! We turned it off after the 1st 15 minutes, however, because of the political humor. I hope everyone who was appalled by the stupid, cheap shots, did the same thing!

What is American about making fun of our acting president? Agree or disagree with what is happening in the political arena, but leave the elected officials alone! Who wants to watch a show about awards, dresses and favorites that becomes a "[censored]" comedy or cheap roast?! Comedy central is so much better for political humor, AND I know what to expect there!

Anyway, I missed it and looking at the list of winners this morning, I guess I didn't miss much!

I over heard my mom talking this evening after dinner, apparently she taped the entire show and after fast forwarding through all the commercials and acceptance speeches it took her a half hour to watch. (ha!)

Wow, 30 minutes when you take away all the junk?
I love looking at the fashions too but really, I thought the host this year was a dud!!!

O'Rielly played one of the "jokes" and asked "who's laughing?". Yes, the host was a "dud"!! I felt kinda sorry for him because he was so pathetic, but I guess it was hard to come up with enough "good" material to help fill in the other 90 minutes. unbelievable! only 30 minutes?

the host even tried to do video jokes like on the oscars but they were not funny either except of course the one where he never won the oscar.
