Did anyone get a chance to see Knitty Gritty on Tuesday? Well they made a beautiful pink sweater. I wasn't feeling well so I watched it. Of course they went way too fast but it was still a nice looking sweater.

I don't know Knitty Gritty. Is it a PBS show or something? We don't get any knitting shows here, only quilting. And who is the lovely little person in your picture? (Can you tell I've been out of touch for awhile!)

Hi Becky Knitty Gritty is on diynetwork so if you get diy tv then you can watch knitty gritty. That lovely little person is my very first Granddaughter, Kayli Anne born 9-21-05, I love the look on her face but of course since I am Grandma I am probably going to love every look, hehehehehe.

I think you can tape those episodes... or aren't they on the DIY website in their archives? I plan to be taping for Knitty Gritty this Wednesday with some of my friends...if you plan to be in California, you should try to be on the show! The only thing is that they tape a year in advance, so the show I'm taping this week is for next year. We will be knitting Steering Wheel covers and fuzzy dice out of fun fur.

A celebrity, hehehehehe. For me that would be so exciting and sounds like you will certainly be having alot of fun please be sure and remind us when that episode will air, you never know we might be able to see you. Now don't have too much fun

The new book by the Knitty Gritty host is really nice, too. It's called New Knits on the Block and it's all patterns for items that kids might actually wear (no snowmen patterned sweaters here).

Has anyone else seen it?

Yes I saw it at the only bookstore in town, hehehehe. It's ok but only because there was nothing in there that my son would wear (he designs his own and then I make it).

Yes, it was definitely fun! My friends from my knitting group and I went to a studio in Burbank, and there... 3 shows are taped per day. They finished taping in October, and the shows don't air until the following season. The episode I was in, "KG-509" called "crusin down the highway" with designer Kelly Wilson, featured her steering wheel cover and fuzzy dice designs. I thought it was pretty fun Maybe if any of you plan to visit LA next October, you could book a taping date.

It sounds like you had a great time. Although I know I won't be near there anytime soon (wish I could) thanks for posting the info.

The Fuzzy Bunnies from 12/19 were cute, tho exceptionally expensive.

I'd have to spend some time with Knit Picks, to knit them!

Did anyone catch Knitty Gritty last night? Barry Klein was on there-- I'm not a big fan of fun fur and novelty yarns, but it was great to see all the yarns and hear Barry talk about how the yarn is made!

Also, watching Barry knit was cool. He's a big guy- think- lumberjack- and it was cool to watch such big hands knit delicate scarves. That may seem sexist, yet it's a fact of life that men have bigger hands and shorter fingers than women.
