Is it going to burn my face under the sun?
Why or why not? Where can I get pure shea butter?

I think that it's oily enough that it might act to intensify sun exposure, much as any tanning oil does. I use it on my face in winter when I get really dry, but in summer, I need to use something lighter unless I am in the desert. At that point, I'm also slathering on sunscreen and wearing covering clothes and a hat, which is why I don't burn.
Rae, good point about wearing protective sun covering even if you have sun block on. A hat is always a good idea. <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

What is Shea Butter?
