Hi All,

Herbs are potent things, but when used correctly, they can work as well or better than many drugs (and without the bad side effects).

I use black cohosh to keep me stabilized and it helped me a lot during menopause.

What do you use and what has been your experience?

Best,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

I use many types of herbals for healing myself and others. I really fell into the habit of combining traditional medicine with alternative medicine about 30 years ago when I was diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease. After being on Prednisone and other types of drugs to balance out the symptoms of the Crohn's I looked into some less harsh alternatives. I hit upon a system that works well for me.. in fact, I only have a minor flare-up of the symptoms about once every couple of years, and that is usually when I am stressed out and forget to take the supplements on a daily basis. I use IP6 to reduce intestinal tumors caused by Crohn's, Red Clover Blossoms to build up and sustain the immune functions, Apple Cider vinegar to cleanse the intestinal system, and when the symptom's do flare up, I use Aloe to heal the ulcerations. I also make sure I get enough rest, drink lots of distilled water, and stay as stress free as possible, which means I do not allow things to fester within as I used to. I sailed almost symptom free through peri-menopause thanks to Black Cohosh. I also drink a glass of Kombucha tea on a daily basis.. the taste grows on you after a while.. I used tea tree oil to get rid of a nasty plantars wart, with no scarring afterward. I only drink a glass of wine on special occasions, don't smoke, but I do indulge in chocolate! Actually, I just discovered that even that isn't as bad as one may think.. check out the article on my site. Blessings,
