One of my first taste treats in California was sitting down at a restaurant and having a meal including tomato salsa and cheese quesadillas. From a small timid serving I grew to love the spicy salsa.

Hi Susan! I LOVE SALSA!!! All types!

I saw from your yummy looking recipe that you also add a pinch of sugar. People think it's odd to use sugar but it really makes a difference to temper the acidity of the tomatoes.

Here is my fresh tomato salsa recipe:

fresh tomatoes, diced
white onion, minced
green bellpepper, minced
jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
green onion, sliced
fresh garlic, minced
fresh cilantro, chopped
fresh lime juice
salt and pepper, to taste
pinch of sugar

Blend all together and allow it to meld. The salt will draw out some moisture as it sits. Stir frequently.

I don't have measurements because it all depends on how large a batch I am making and how hot people will want it.

The bellpepper and jalapeno pepper are what makes this tomato salsa so yummy!

Oh, I adore all kinds of salsa! Avocado salsa, mango salsa, corn salsa...

Thanks for sharing your recipe! smile
And thanks for sharing yours, too, Lori! I definitely love corn salsa.
