My name is Marc and I am a hairstylist in Syracuse NY.
I'm looking for people to test some software that I made that will actually formulate a basic haircolor formula. All you do is input the existing color, existing tone, target color, target tone and percentage of grey............and Viola

I designed this software to give myself more time to be creative with haircolor.

The software is free to test, it is fully functional.

With this software you will get tips and ideas, a color information sheet that is very easy to read and user friendly and a pre-pigmentation chart to use when filling the hair to go darker.

I could use some help to test this before I launch it for sale.

Before we would like to test this software, you should provide us with some more info:
- what license do you use with the software? (EULA, GPL, LGPL, BSD, etc.)
- in which state is the software
- what are the required libraries, files, special installation tools/procedures

My legal staff is working on an EULA now.

The software will work on any windows application and all of the necessary files are included with the installation with the exception of maybe the pre-pigmentation chart which was made with microsoft excel. You will probably need excel installed on your computer to see the chart, but the software will work whether you have the pre-pig chart or not.

Please explain the relevance of "what state the software is in".

"what state the software is in" could be : pre-alpha, alpha, pre-beta, beta, nearly productional level, stable, testing, etc.
Adding the version number can be a help as well.

And which versions of Windows does it support. BTW, I'm using Mandriva linux here, but I don't mind asking this for all the Windows users. I guess you won't be making it available for linux very soon either.

The ColorFormulatorV2.0 is in pre-launch status.
I have done 2 variations of a previous version and this version (2.o) has 3 variations to it.
The first version is designed exclusively for Goldwell color users.

The second variation is designed for color lines whose 20 volume will give 1 level of lift, the 30 volume will give 2 levels of lift, etc.

The third version is designed for color lines whose 20 volume will give them 2 levels of lift, 30 volume will give them 3 levels of lift, etc.

I am a hairstylist by trade and I designed this software to help other stylists.

This software will work with all windows programs.

As mentioned earlier the pre-pigment chart was made with microsoft works spreadsheet.
