Now is a great time to buy a car, truck, or SUV (if you can afford to).
Many of the major automakers are giving huge discounts and other incentives to buy now in this stalled economy.
Anyone want to share their recent experiences ?
Hi, Steve. Yes, you are absolutely right. We just bought a Lexxus at a steal but I call it a blessing. We were in the right place at the right time. Car dealerships cannot afford to "not" work with you.
If they really want to keep from going under, this is the best thing they can do and that is make it available 24/7. That is (for any income and financial difficulty), use a plan for all circumstance for anyone to be able to buy a car.
Selling a car at a cheaper rate is better than trying to sell them expensively in this economy. What do you think? Anyone else?
I just bought a car last year. I had been in LOVE with the Pontiac Grand Prix ever since I rented one to drive to Florida one year...and ever since then I've want THAT car in the exact grey. I GOT it...I GOT it... I love my car!!! And the deal was pretty good too!!!
My son has a car he still owes on. Is there a way to trade it in still? I don't know how the financing works.
Congratulations Dianne !
My favorite car that was the 2nd used car I had (hand-me-down from dad), was the 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix. It was black with red interior and it's still my all-time favorite !
Here's hoping GM keeps the Pontiac name alive.
Hi friendlygirl4u,
I am the Cars editor and the article I posted yesterday which you can find on the CARS page briefly touches on this.
My advice if possible, would be to wait until his present car is fully paid off. As I mention in the article, why increase your debt level, especially in this economy.
At the bottom of the article you can sign up for the Cars newsletter so that when I post a new article, you'll get an e-mail telling you what it's about. They contain a lot of useful information, plus the site itself contains useful information.
Good luck !
Thanks, Steve. I just read your fine article. It makes perfect sense. I'll sign up for the newsletter, too!
Hi Steve,
Isn't the Grand Prix a pretty car? I was driving my family crazy when I first bought it because I would stand at the window asking them..."isn't that the prettiest car you've ever seen?"
They thought I was crazy...lol...
My last car was a 2000 chevy cavalier that I put almost 200,000 miles on in 6 years. (My job at the time was 100 miles round trip from my house) They stopped making the cavalier in 2005 I think.
I LOVE to travel so my car has to hold up well...
I'll be signing up for your newsletter too!!!

well, the right time to buy a car can be achieved anytime if you have the money with you. if not having that much balance in the bank account then you can opt for car loans.
