I have a challenge for you. You may start this challenge anytime.

Make one area clutter free.

1. Choose one surface in your house, your office, your car, your purse that currently has clutter.
2. Clean off that area making it clutter free.
3. Every night for 1 week that area must be clutter free before you go to bed.
4. Post your success in the comments below.

Tina,

Thank You for this thread.

Clutter has been the bane and lynchpin of Connie and my's existence.

It take time and effort.

You must have been able to pick up out dilemma, and have been able to translate our difficulties and challenges in a clean, clear-cut practical manner.

I will try to upload my desk about a week ago and today.

Bless you Tina in whatever tradition you hold to.

This is Pretty !! smile !!!

Thank You,

Burt B.

Because I had to help declutter my aunt's hoard, I have become very adept at weeding out clutter. It's amazing how much sneaks into your home on a daily basis, like junk mail.

I have a motto: If it stays in our house, it's loved or useful. And I mean being used now, not stashed for some future possible use!

That's awesome, Lori, that's my motto too. I seem to be forever decluttering, yet more comes in all the time.

Well done, Lisa, now try and keep it like that for a week.

I decluttered a table I have in the kitchen, I have before and after photos, how do I put them on the forum?

Tina - if you do a full reply it'll give you the option to point to where the images live on the web, and it'll show them that way.

We don't allow users to load images onto our actual server, for security reasons.

As an editor you have access to our special editor image server, if you don't have another location where you normally host images and files. Jeanne can help set that up for you.

I've just recently started doing this while trying to empty out my storage shed. Sure could use that extra $50/mo. I bring in a bunch of boxes and work on sorting through them. What I don't HAVE to have goes immediately into a box for yard sale. If I come across something that I want to keep, but don't have room for, then I have to get rid of something to make room.

My idea is to simplify (which makes cleaning a lot easier).

I've been a member on FlyLady for quite a while, but have just started using some of their practices mixed with some of my own-due to disabilities. Some days my apartment looks like a wreck. But, a few days later and I have it all straightened out. I'm getting there...just a little slower than I sometimes like.
