Families of children with disabilities know that having fun is as important to schedule into daily routines as any kind of therapy, medication, or appointment.

I recall playing with our disabled little boy throughout the day. Sometimes, I'd just drop down on my hands and knees and chase him or play hide-and-seek.

His siblings always played with him, wrestling him on the ground, squirting each other with the hose or water guns.

My oldest son would push his little brother's wheelchair like a race car, popping wheelies and going around curves on two wheels--much to his delight!
