Women who cook are fools. -Bette Midler, Isn't She Great.
Go sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here. -Jack Nicholson, As Good As It Gets.
I'll think of more....
I don't believe in doing things for other people's reasons. - Kat in 10 Things I Hate About You (Which is a modern remake of Shakespearean The Taming of the Shrew).
I think Julia Stiles is terrific. She is definately on of my favorite actresses. Did you see the movie Wicked? That's also a modern version of a Shakespearian play. For god's sake, don't ask me which one. But, it was very good. And, in Save the Last Dance, her dancing really made the movie worth watching The plot was good to, but she made that movie.
I didn't see Wicked. I really wanted to see that movie where she's like the only white person in a black high school. Was that Save the Last Dance?
Have you seen that recent movie with her, I don't remember what it's called. Kirsten Dunst is in there as well, and Julia Roberts is their teacher?
MONA LISA SMILE is the movie in question...
I was in a group out there somewhere that consisted of guessing who said what in which movie and who starred with or directed or produced what sort of a twisted six degree thing...went on for months with few repeats... This is how it works;
"Go that way, really fast, and if anything gets in you way TURN!"
What movie or actor/character actor played or director or writer or producer(lots of choices)
Wait! whoever guesses gets to do one based on the actor or movie..or??
TERMINATOR directed by James Cameron who also directed:
Try Not. Do or do not. There is no try.

One of my favorites is from "Green Card" where Andie McDowall tells Gerard Depardieu "I don't dislike you. I merely have no opinion of you".
Gotta be the classic of all put downs!
I loved Andie MacDowell in Ground Hog Day. I used one of my favorite ones last night, "Yeah, they're called Hicks, Rita".
One from THUNDERBALL:
James Bond: My dear, uncooperative Domino.
Domino: How do you know that? How do you know my friends call me Domino?
James Bond: It's on the bracelet on your ankle.
Domino: So... what sharp little eyes you've got.
James Bond: Wait 'til you get to my teeth
"For all I should have thought but did not think; for all I should have said but did not say; for all I should have done but did not do: Father forgive me." The 13th Warrior, Antonio Bandaras.
Yes Bob, that is a good one. I like the norsemen prayer they all do too:
Lo' there do I see My Father,
Lo' there do I see My Mother, My Sisters, & My Brothers,
Lo' there do i see the line of My People,
back to the Beginning
Lo' they do call to me,
they bid me take my place among them,
in the Halls of Valhalla,
Where The Brave May Live FOREVER
Is being an idiot like being high all the time? / No, it's like being constantly right!

Katie in The Way We Were:
Your girl is lovely, Hubble.

Well, I forgot about this(du-oh!) but the answer to the above question is yes...whoever gets the correct answer(or basically an answer) gets to put in the next quote:
"Be Afraid! Be VERY Afraid!!"
From the Third Man, delivered by Orson Welles as Harry Lime justifying his criminal behavior in terms of the common good:
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock ..."
There are so many memorable quotes but my latest favourite has to be:
SHALL WE DANCE (Richard Gere & Jennifer Lopez)
The rumba is the vertical expression of a horizontal wish. You have to hold her, like the skin on her thigh is your reason for living. Let her go, like your heart's being ripped from your chest. Throw her back, like you're going to have your way with her right here on the dance floor. And then finish, like she's ruined you for life.
I don't know if it is quite old enough to be considered a classic, but just about every line in the movie "Shirley Valentine" would have to be be some of my favorite quotes!
If you are a woman, over 40, feeling neglected and underappreciated watch this movie, it is both touching and funny. [color:"purple"] [/color]
Old thread; saw this question twice with no answer; had to respond:

And no, I didn't see that show. {{sigh}} That would have been one I would have liked to have seen.
