Did you know that if you address a letter to Santa Claus at North Pole, Alaska, it really gets delivered to the city of North Pole? Some letters even get responses written by "Santa's elves" - volunteers who write letters back to children.
Santa Claus house in North Pole, a gift shop, also sells letters. Those are guaranteed to get a response.
Its a great place to get your kids picture done with Santa. The Santas there usually have a real white beard. The toy shop has lots of nice ornaments and nativity sets. There is a little coffee stand serving locally roasted coffee.
There are also plenty of the cheesier touristy gifts that are available in roadside gift shops all over the state. I guess they are trying to have items in each price range, and cater to a wide variety guests and tourists.
Have you ever been to North Pole, Alaska? What did you think?
When you write Santa letters, where do you send them? Did you ever get a response?
