Teacups, saucers and Teapots are very popular choices by quilters for themes in quilts and wallhangings. I must admit I have a keen interest in this subject matter. I attended the Dallas Quilt Show yesterday and the block contest was "Tea Time". The backgrounds were white with only blue teapots. No cups, saucers, or dollies. It was amazing to see.
