Hi all! I just got an advertisement for the magazine *Quiltmaker.* Has anybody ever seen/purchased this magazine? I'd like to subscribe to a really good, informative, creative, easy to understand quilting magazine. Does anyone have their favorites? Thanks!

I've read Quiltmaker, and I liked it very much. Creative yet simple. There are so many magazines out there! For a while I was getting Quilter's Newsletter Magazine but I didn't renew my subscription. I liked the magazine, but my head is already crowded with too many ideas. Seriously, I have even stopped watching Simply Quilts. I used to occasionally grab a few magazines at the grocery store but I stopped that a while back. But I do think Quiltmaker was one of my favorites. They have creative designs that aren't too difficult.

Thanks Laura! Maybe I'll dig the advertisement out of the garbage...

Kathy, make a run to JoAnn's and take a peek at the magazines they have on the rack. I have found that some focus on more traditional designs and others on contemporary stuff. Also, how much do you want to learn from the magazine? I like Fons and Porter (I don't know if that is the right name). Just don't end up buying all of them! ;-)

I subscribe to "Quilters Newsletter", "McCalls Quilting Magazine", and most recently to "The Professional Quilter" for teachers and people in the quilting business. I just became a quilting teacher last year and I'm loving it. I've been quilting about 25 years. I am also a Simply Quilts fan (they have a great message board - lots of fun people) . Of course I get all of the quilting catalogs too. Keepsake, Quilts and Other Comforts, Main Street Cottonshop, Connecting Threads, Clotilde, you name it. Have I left anything out : )

I'm recently retired and if I'm not at the sewing machine I'm on the computer. My poor husband.

I don't see a lot of posts here

Wow Quiltingb you have alot of quilting catalogs...you must have a list a mile long of things you want to accomplish. I'll have to check out some of those magazines you mentioned...some I didn't recognize.

There aren't alot of posts because Tammy (the Quilting host) just re-started this forum again. We use to be over on the Delphi forums...long story. So, let your friends know...
