I'm seeing the new tweed jackets everywhere. I mean everywhere. Talk about over kill. I personally don't care for them. What's everyone else think?

Funny, I was just looking for a jacket today and they comprised the larger portion of selections in 2 different stores. Some of them don't look too bad but they just don't fit right. Do you think that is going to be the prevelant style this year? They sure aren't flattering.

P.S. I was also disgusted they all ran small so I had to try a larger size and then it didn't fit right. oh well....

I work retail in a womens clothing store, and I think I know to which tweed jackets you are refering and yes, they are atrocious...large chunky fibers in either pink/lavendar or lime/turquoise with frayed hems etc...granted from that basic description they dont sound bad...but man, I wouldn't wear one.

Those are them. I'm seeing them in magizines, on the talk shows, on the evening shows. I love the variety of poncho effects but this tweed number is quickly becoming a copy cat eyesore.

I hate them too. Definitely will NOT wear.

I haven't seen the new tweed and I guess from all your descriptions, I won't go looking for it!

I do like the new ponchos that are out there. I love the colors and the look of them. They aren't practical for my type of work so I may end up with one for fun.

I do think the ponchos are a better fashion option. But, they could be dangerous . . . like, if you get too close to some moving gears or something while wearing one . . .

You hang around moving gears often do you? LOL Then I'd say, "let common sense prevail, darlin'".
