Have you ever made your own cheese? I am really inspired by these ideas: make simple cheese

I am so going to do this. I have access to free raw goats milk, so this will be easy and cost me almost nothing.

I wonder if i can use some old fabric of some kind instead of having to buy cheesecloth.

Anyone ever make their own cheese?

Nope! But this idea sounds good. And it is so simple!

And it looks delicious! My mind is watering over the idea of my own goat cheese, mixed with my homegrown garlic and peppercorns from my neighbor's tree.

OK, i got my hands on enough raw goat milk for my kitten and to try to make my own cheese! I even have some little brie mold for it!

I would like to make it this weekend.

And here is a link for what to do with the whey.

The curds are what makes the cheese. The whey is like a milky cheese broth. I love these ideas. You basically bake or cook or thicken with it like you would milk. Or in smoothies.

Apparently pets and livestock eat it too. And little miss Muffet.

I still have a fridge full of grocery store cheese, so i haven't made the effort to make my own cheese yet. It will happen when my packaged cheeses run out. I have my goat's milk waiting!
