The gravitational interaction of a pair of galaxies creates this distorted spiral out of galaxy UGC 1810. A swath of blue jewels across the top is the combined light from clusters of intensely bright and hot young blue stars in this Hubble image.

Wow! Look at this stunning spiral galaxy (M74). The spiral arms are dotted with clusters of blue stars - they are hot young stars. There are also pink regions - these are emission nebulae where hydrogen is glowing from being energized by hot stars.
