A solar eclipse begins on November 13 at 19.38 UT (14.38 EST), which is November 14 in Australia.

As you can see from the picture (credit: Jay Anderson), on land only a few places in Northern Australia may see the total eclipse. However a partial eclipse is visible from a wider area of Australia, New Zealand and western South America.

Live streaming from Cairns Australia is here from 19.30 UT (4.30 p.m. EST).

There will also be live coverage by SLOOH.

You can find out more about Solar Eclipses in my article.
The eclipse has begun. I've pinned a picture from the SLOOH feed, which you can see is somewhat cloudy. There is a break in the cloud here, but no one knows if the total eclipse will be visible.
