The Japanese word for festival is "Matsuri" and a Matsuri is celebrated at least once every month in Japan.

Some Japanese Matsuris are based on some aspects of Chinese Culture but they are also deeply rooted in most of the Japanese culture and Traditions as well.

Every Japanese Matsuri is celebrated with pomp and gaiety, there is at least always two main events, with several food stalls serving most of the traditional Japanese food and drink.

In a Japanese Matsuri there are always plenty of stalls selling memorable souvenirs, there's also fireworks and games with Karaoke, not forgetting the famous Sumo matches.
