Hola, Angeles. Estamos viajando a Espaa este ao. Una clase espaola era provechosa pero necesito continuar trabajando en dilogos. Comenc a escuchar un telenovela en la estacin espaola. Aunque falte mucho, he aprendido mucho. Eschucho ms. Uso un lapiz, un cuarderno, y mi dictionario. Dos cosas que he aprendido, "te amo" y "me ama." :-)

Espero que me cuentes ms cosas.

Hasta pronto!
Oh, Rosie!

Hoy compre' un compartimiento en espaol. Leo mejor que comprendo los dilogos.

Los dilogos libres en SpanishPod estan muy bien. Gracias.

We're traveling to Spain this year. A Spanish class was helpful but I need to continue to work on dialogs. I began to listen to a telenovela on a Spanish station. Although I miss a lot (of the dialogs), I have learned a lot. I use a pencil, notebook, and my dictionary. Two things I have learned, "I love you" and "he/she loves me."

"Hi Angeles. I hope I can visit my friend in Bilbao. We'll start our travel in Madrid, we're going to Segovia and Avila. Santiago de Compostela too, then Porto. We'll get there in September.

I bought today a compartimiento? (sorry, Angie, don't know what you meant here :-) ) in Spanish. I better read than understand dialogs.

Free SpanishPod dialogues are very good. thanks.

Well, this is a rough translations, trying to keep words in same order in both languages, so that everybody can associate terms.

Hola, to you both, thank you
And... Hi again, Angie!!

Tu viaje suena genial! (Your travel sounds great!)

Vas a visitar muchas ciudades, pero recuerda que yo vivo cerca de Bilbao y... si quieres, y puedes, podramos conocernos!!
(You're going to visit a lot of cities, but remember that I live near Bilbao and... if you want, and if possible, we coul meet!)

Oh, by the way, if you don't mind...

-instead of "mia amiga", say "mi amiga", as "mi" is an adjective but "ma" is a pronoun.

And it's so great you can identify and know the past "compr" takes an accent. :-)

Por favor, contina escrbiendo en espaol, Angie! Y tambin todos los que leis este post. Vale?

Please! Keep on writing in Spanish, Angie! And everybody who's reading this post, ok?

Ah! Una cosa ms. Me alegra saber que SpanishPod te gusta.
(One more thing, I'm happy to know you like SpanishPod)

Hasta pronto!

De nada! You're welcome, Rosie!

Angeles,

Quiero decir revista, no compartimiento. La revista se llama Selecctiones. Hay historias y artculos cortos. Tambin, hay chistes y los juegos con palabras.

Los Diagolos incluen "llenar el tanque con gas (gasolina)" y "tarjeta de telefono" y muchos otros.

Com se dice llenar cuando pregunta alguien llenar el tanque? "jene o yene (ll)"

Angie

Angie,

Claro! Gracias, ahora lo entiendo.
(Sure! Thanks, now I understand it)

Conozco la revista Selecciones y me gusta bastante. Tiene artculos muy interesantes. (I know this magazine, Selecciones and I like it. It has very interesting articles.)

Sobre cmo usar el verbo "llenar" en forma de mandato (Command form), podemos decir: "llene" (formal) o "llena" (informal)
(About how to use the verb "llenar", command form, we can say: "llene" / "llena".

Espero que esto te ayude!

Ah, una pregunta! (One question!)

Te gusta SpanishPod? Crees que es til?
(Do you like SpanishPod? Do you think it is useful?

SpanishPod - No pago (I do not pay) para un suscripcin pero I download los diagolos. Cada diagolo est corto y provechoso. Liliana y JP repitan cada diagolo tres veces, cada palabra, y explican muy bien y muy despacio. Ellos pronouncian ll 'j'

Por favor, correge (correct) mi deletreo (spelling).

Gracias.

Hola, Angie!

Nice you're posting in Spanish!

I will first translate it, ok?

SpanishPod - I do not pay for a subscription but I download the dialogues. Each dialogue is short and useful. Liliana and JP repeat each dialogue three times, each word, and they explain very well and very slowly. They pronounce ll 'j'

Please, correct my spelling.

Thanks.

Ok, after this translation...

Whenever we use the verb "pagar" (to pay), we only use the preposition "para" followed by and action. For example, "Pago para que me enseen espaol" (I pay to be taugh Spanish). So, when we use the verb "pagar" and then the "object" we pay for, we use the preposition "por". For example, your sentence is: "No pago por una suscripcin..."

And... By the way... you are using accents! Great! :-)

"To download" is "Descargar". So, we'd say: "pero descargo los dilogos" (Be careful, it is not "diagolos" but "dilogos", but don't worry, as this is a common "mistake" ;-)

Ah, when you said "Cada dilogo est corto", is should be "es" instead of "est", as it is a description.

About "Liliana y JP repitan", it is "repiten".

One question, Angie... "Ellos pronuncian ll "j"" Do you mean the pronounce "ll" as an English "j"? As there are some local variations for the pronunciation of this sound.

Well, hope this helps but in case you have any question, please, tell us!

Oh, by the way, you can find my article about SpanishPod here .
