As a Wisconsin native, I enjoyed your article. One shouldn't worry a squirrel, unless of course the squirrel is hassling you! I'm curious about the law regarding women not being out alone at night. Was it enacted in the 19th or 20th Century? John Dillinger used to come to Wisconsin and hide out when things were too hot in Chicago. I'm wondering if the law had anything to do with him.
