Now that you've read about the natural history of figs , let's discuss the health benefits of figs.

Figs are high in calcium, potassium, and even iron. THey're high in fiber, providing about 20% of the RDA in one serving (which about 4 fresh or dried figs). They are fat-free, sodium-free, and (like all plant foods) cholesteral free.

A simple and delicius fig recipe is baked figs for breakfast or a light dessert. Simply slice figs in half, drizzle with honey, and bake at about 350F just until warmed. This is truly the food of the gods!

Anyone else know a fun fig recipe to share?

Greetings

The seeds of the fig pick up excess mucous in the body and escort iy out!

The fruit is also high in iron.

Be fitly blessed,

Excellent! Most of us could use less mucous, as modern diets tend to increase mucous beyond healhty limits...
