Did you get something 'gardening' as a gift this season? Did you give somebody something for their gardening endeavours?

Well now I was a tad spoilt. I got a gift voucher for the garden centre close to me, I got a really cool pair of 'rose pruning' gloves and a really nice NEW NEW gardening journal and diary.

I am tempted to start writing in it straight away, but I must be self-disciplined and wait to finish my other one which is now full of newspaper and magazine and catalogue cuttings and notes and info.

Well, I am catching up on myself in preparing for the new year and am nearly finished sorting and transferring and sticking my scraps of paper and loose notes and recipes and tips and all those good things into their right places, so soon I will be starting my new notebook!

AAAH! I love the scent of blank stationery and new things just waiting to be filled and used. Remember when school started and you went to your first classes armed with everthing empty, long pencils, new pens and fresh ink. I do and still enjoy the opening up of notebooks and such.

Anyway with a few pennies in my pocket and some time to use chilling, I can spend them readily in a stationery shop just browsing. By the time I leave you can bet I have convinced myself that I really do need that new whatever! Tut.
