My 8 yr old is stuck. She gets one expensive present for xmas and she can't decide which she would rather have, a Video Now mini video player that will most likely quickly go out of fashion OR a game boy.
She tells me Game Boys can play videos now. Is this so, and how easy is it to find these videos?
Thanks,
Meg
Get a gameboy advance SP and they play movies, but only pokemon that i know of so far
I heard that they can also play spongebob too.
Hmm. I know there are limited movies for Gameboy. And I know that there is a program that let's you put any dvd that you want (including special features) onto a PSP, but I don't know if they do it for the GameboySP or DS yet. Check this website: psptransfer.com. They might be able to tell you more.
Nintendo DSs and Gameboys have their own movie-playing functions, but are limited to certain cartridges that you have to buy. If you're willing to figure it out for yourself as well, a Sony PSP is a better media player.
Then again, for an 8-year-old, a Game Boy (or a DS) is a better bet, since those play games more suitable to your kid's age. Also, if you buy some equipment, your DS can be modified to play various media files.
I would like to use PSP since there are lots of games in the market for PSP.
Nintendo DS (Game Boy Advanced) is also good but most of the games today need a compatibility module like PSP games can be played in PS3 console.
