I just found out that Amazon has The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes. Yah! I remember watching this excellent series on cable and how surprised I was that I loved Jeremy Brett in the role of Holmes. In the past Basil Rathbone was the only Holmes for me, but I thought that Brett was outstanding.

Yes, we like that one a lot too. Each actor has his own "take" on Holmes I suppose, and that's what makes them all so enjoyable.

I absolutely love Jeremy Brett's take on Holmes. I think that both of the actors who played Watson were phenomenal, also.

My family is "revisiting" the old Cadfael, Prime Suspect, and Sherlock Holmes this summer........ We don't watch many of the shows they currently show on television, so these DVDs are wonderful treats for us.
