Who else is planning on watching this this fall? I've seen some commercials for it - it looks intriguing, like it will be one of those shows that you can come back to week after week.

I hope that it explores not only the mystery behind what happened,, but the social interactions that happen afterward, how they town comes together and works together and builds a society. I think that kind of thing is fascinating, and I want to see it nowwwwww...

I watched it Saturday and really liked it. I think future episodes will be interesting to see how it plays out, what they learn about what happened, etc..

I love Skeet Ulrich so I'll be tuned in.

We watched it as there wasn't much else on and really liked it. Just hope they don't leave us hanging tho. Last season we liked Invasion and that other SciFi one that was on Friday nights and they took them off without even ending them.

I just heard tho that Jericho was one of the few new shows to survive the first cut.

Well. "Jericho" has been Officially OKed for the rest of this season...unlike "Smith" which has already been axed(as well it should be)

I have issues with "Jericho" because I am from Kansas; although it is NOT as ridiculous as "Smallville" did you see that Forest last week...kimmmmeee a break!! But all in all it has at least tried to be accurate enough to fool most viewers even in issues of radiation poisoning and fallout...where is nuclear winter??? time will tell I suppose..

We've been watching Jericho and enjoy it.

I kind of liked Smith and am disappointed it's cancelled.

My husband is from Kansas too but he likes the show. Actually, Kansas probably wouldn't survive a nuclear blast because it's so open and flat and the radiation would blow there.

I'm from Southern Oregon and it's supposed to be a safe place in the event of a nuclear blast as the mountains make a protected bowl and the bad stuff would go over the top. There's an inversion layer to keep things out, kind of like the LA basin holds pollution.

anyway, we like the show. Glad to see Gerald McRaney back in action.

I wasn't too sure about the show at first... I checked out the first episode on tv, but saw the others on http://cbs.com/innertube this past weekend, and I must say that I'm hooked now. Awesome show!

re Jericho
I love this show. I wish I had know about the Nuts
campaign. I wish I could be been there when those
tons of nuts came into CBS in NYC.
I miss the Gerald McRainey character. I love the town
so much.

We miss Gerald too. I haven't seen Pamela Reed yet this season (Jake's mother). I really liked her too. I hope she comes back. I'm glad to see D.B. Sweeney, he's a good nemesis but I hope Esai Morales isn't gone for good. I really liked how he and Jake were getting along.
Posted By: M o e Re: Jericho - 03/04/08 09:35 AM
It was an intense episode this week. I thought for sure someone was going to die/get murdered. Seems like there will be an underground helping out the town.

I can't believe how much the boy who manages the store has grown up.

I'm glad Esai Morales is still in it. So far so good.

I love this show because its so different. So often the TV shows that are on have already been done.

I love ER but we also had Chicago Hope and before that St. Elsewhere. I love Law and Order but before that we had L A Law and Hill Street Blues.

I don't recall anything like Jericho before and I'm not able to guess at what is going to happen next.

Posted By: M o e Re: Jericho - 03/07/08 04:17 AM
I was shocked by the shoot out last night.
Posted By: Lisa_Orlando Re: Jericho - 03/07/08 05:27 PM
I was as well. I don't understand why they did that? Why did she pick up the shotgun?

Posted By: msbaby Re: Jericho - 03/07/08 05:42 PM
They shouldn't have axed Gerald McRaney IMHO, but he may have wanted out as I understand that Delta is having some problems and from all indications he's a wonderful, caring husband.

The shootout was pretty unexpected. I wonder if the reason she opened fire was that the writers were having to write her out of the story and they just decided to let her go out dramatically rather than simply let her character relocate to California as she had previously mentioned.

OH I had a few tears come when they killed of Gerald Mcraney. That made me so sad. But then again I get kind of mushy about my TV programs.

Shoshanna is on another tv show too. Weeds I think so maybe there was a conflict especially since Jericho returned from what was an expected demise.

It was a good scene though. She kicked but up til then.
Posted By: msbaby Re: Jericho - 03/13/08 07:18 PM
D.B.'s character has been neutralized and I was just as surprised by this as I was the shootout at the farmhouse. I'm beginning to wonder how the next two segments will flow. Has anybody given any thoughts to possible endings? There are only two more shows left in the season, right?
Posted By: M o e Re: Jericho - 03/14/08 09:34 PM
Only two more shows? Seems like it just started.

I wasn't surprised that Stanley shot D. B.'s character.

I really have no expectations as to how it will end... I'm just along for the ride. smile

You?

I recorded the final episode and I am VERY sad its the final one. I haven't watched it yet. I don't allow my daughter to watch this one so I will fit it in when she is at school.

Posted By: Lisa_Orlando Re: Jericho - 03/28/08 06:05 AM
I finally watched it and cried through the very last part of it. I hate that it was the last episode, I don't understand why a TV network would axe a show that is so popular unless someone out there doesn't like the political commentary behind the plot.

Surely I'm not the only one who noticed the fact that the attacks on Jericho were in September just like 9-11 was for the US.

I was raised part of my life in Texas, my parents were born and bred there, I had a moment of pride in Texas as those jets came up and shot the bad guys out of the sky. That was awesome even if it was fiction.
Posted By: joanj Re: Jericho - 03/28/08 12:39 PM
I thought when Jericho came back it was even better than the first season. I'm just sorry more people didn't watch it.
Posted By: M o e Re: Jericho - 03/30/08 06:09 AM
I just read that they are trying to get another network to pick it up so it may not be gone yet.
Posted By: Lisa_Orlando Re: Jericho - 03/30/08 06:12 AM
OH MY GOD, that would be so awesome like they have The Closer and how they had The 4400 on was it USA?

I would LOVE to see this series continued, there is so much MORE good material left to write on this whole war coming up.
Posted By: M o e Re: Jericho - 03/30/08 07:19 PM
We finally watched the season finally last night. We feel resolved by the way they ended it. I'd rather it end like this then try to come back and not give any closure. We didn't think they'd be able to tie things up but they did pretty good.

Hi, larrys,

Jericho has been cancelled, unfortunately. Extreme Home Makeover is still on Sunday nights. And Friday Night Lights is coming back next January.

Posted By: BoomerGal Re: Jericho - 04/10/08 06:03 PM
I thought they tied up things well also. Now that that's been done, they may not want to be picked up by another network. If they'd continued fighting, like a revolution, then they could have gone on for longer.
