Dear Aunt Marian,
One day, I was sitting by our roses when I moved and a bunny darted out from under a bush. I stood up to watch it, it stopped and stared at me. I stayed still and called my sister, Hanna to come see. The bunny was just a baby, and sat by our shed frightened. I called my Mom to come see and she ran and got the camera. My friend Kayliegh came over just in time to see her. My Mom tried to get a better picture and got to close, the bunny ran under our shed. I felt happy seeing the bunny, it was a cool experience. I Love You, Rebecca

Rebecca, Welcome to the board. I know Aunt Marian will be thrilled to see your post.

You are so luck to see a baby bunny that close up. And what a smart young lady to know to stay still and not frighten the baby away. It must have been quite a thrill to see it.

Was the bunny a "Cotton Tail" or a "Jack Rabbit"? Have you seen it again? What other kinds of wildlife do you see at your house?

Hi Rebecca!! Bunnies are such cute little animals. When I lived in New York, I had wild bunnies in my backyard every morning when I woke up, but I never saw a baby. What a lucky girl you are to get to see one!

Rose lives in Alaska. Do you know what kinds of animals live in Alaska?

Hi Marian & Rose,

We are still getting to know how to write on here. Rebecca e-mailed Rose before I saw the Post Reply Icon. Rebecca is busy looking up info about animals from Alaska. Carrie

Hi Carrie,

Ok, this is the teacher in me speaking now! I just did a bit of googling and came up with a few (well, ok, maybe a bit more than *a few* links for the girls. Hope this is helpful:

Hi Carrie. Your bunny day sounds like it was great fun. I don't see many bunnies in my yard because my dogs and cats scare them away and they don't nest nearby. But my mother lives in town and she has lots of bunnies in her yard. They are so adorable to watch, especially when the sun is shining on them and shines through their ears.
