Hey, does anyone know any good food you don't have to cook or bake? My mom won't let me use the stove or oven, but I really like making food. Thanks!

Get a sushi making kit. I'm not saying you have to use raw fish (I love it but it puts some people off). Actually you don't even need the kit. Here's what you need;
Bamboo mat:
glass or plastic bowl (NOT METAL)
large wooden spoon or spatula (plastics OK, not metal)
saran wrap
sushi rice (very short grain) get your Mom to cook a batch
@ night and put it up in the fridge for you.
nori (dried seaweed)
sesame seed
rice wine vinegar
wasabi paste (not powder)
soy sauce
smoked salmon
scallions or green onions, sliced
cream cheese
tuna in the pouch, not can
thai peanut sauce
shredded carrots
any other veg you like (red onions, green peppers, lettuce are good)
chopped peanuts

These are for 2 different rolls.
1. Take the bowl of cooked rice and drizzle the rice vinegar over it, mix it in using 2 wooden spoon or spatulas (Don't stir, kind of fold it in like a cake) there's no set amount, add as much as you like, it should be a little sweet/sour, not overpowering.
2. Lay a piece of Nori out (longways from you) on the bamboo mat.
3. Spread the rice in a thin even layer on the nori (you might want to keep a bowl of water nearby, this is sometimes easier to do with hands than spoons)On the end farthest away from you leave an area of seaweed exposed.
4. Sprinkle the rice w/ sesame seeds.Lay out 2 or 3 pieces of the smoked salmon on top of the seeds.
5. Cut a long thin block of cream cheese off and lay it down the center of the salmon, sprinkle the green onions on top.
6. Using the bamboo mat to help roll, start at the end closest to you, roll the sushi up, peel the mat back towards you "tuck" the sushi in every now and then to make it tight.
7. After sushi is rolled up, roll up tightly in saran wrap and place in fridge for at least 10 min or until ready to eat.

2nd sushi roll
1. Open tuna and drain any fluid. Add Thai peanut sauce to taste. Let marinate.
2. Follow instructions above for rice
3. Lay out Nori on bamboo mat.
4. Spread rice over Nori.
5. Spread tuna over rice, leaving 1" clear on both of short ends.
6. Sprinkle carrots and any other vegetables you like over tuna, sprinkle chopped peanuts over veggies.
7. Roll up as above, wrap in saran wrap, and place in fridge

When you are ready to eat the rolls, remove from saran wrap and cut into 1" thick rounds (any thinner and they fall apart). Bagel rolls (salmon & cream cheese) can be dipped in a combination of wasabi and soy sauce (careful of your sinuses) Thai rolls can be dipped in the peanut sauce.

Hi Perella!
For lots of easy kid's recipes, see - [color:"red"]Cooking with Tara[/color].

It's a website for kids who like to cook, made my grandaughter and I. The link above will take you to the front page. From there you must click on the safety rules before you can go to the other pages. After that, there's a page full of links to food websites with recipes for kids of all ages. You'll find many recipes that require no actual cooking.

On the last page there are also a few of Tara's easy recipes that need no cooking.
