This week's article takes a brief look at the moon phases for magic. In later articles, I will share rituals and spell work for each phase as well as how different traditions work with the energies of the moon.

Moon Phases for Magic

To our family the moon is our inner light and the stars are our ancestors. As we get "untied" from the earth and let ourselves be free we soon realize their power. When I was young we had a song that we used to sing and its origin, age, or composer is unknown to me and I hope that I can remember it correctly; "Silver is the moon, calm as the sea, peaceful you appear to me. Golden is the sun, warm and radiant too, oh what can your magik be? All things grow and need your rays to gain eternal strength, may you ever shine on me, silver is the moon, calm as it can be, mystic cycles call to me." I know that it used to put the babies to sleep!!!! Blessed Be
