Has anybody here had breast implants?Im planning on getting them in a few months..almost saved up enough.Im kinda nervous about them being too big or not big enough though..Im a 34B wanting to go to a small D...picking a 400cc implant

Given the sorts of concerns you have indicated on the other forums today, and especially the issue with pains in your breasts, I would definitely hold off on this until you get some of these other questions answered. Have you spoken with the plastic surgeon about the concerns about your breast pain?

No I didnt mention it but good point..Im going to talk to my OB at my next appointment & make sure all is well before I go through with it.Thanks for the advice!

Other things you may want to consider before getting breast implants: the scar tissue as well as the potential back problems that may arise from the additional weight from the implants. As a massage therapist, I often saw women who either had large breast naturally or artificially and they often complained of back pain. Also, I would work on the scars and and adhesions that resulted from the surgery of either these women getting implants or breast reduction.

Yea I have a DD and I wish I had a "full" C or even a small C at this point.

Broken Mommy: May I ask how old you are? I'm a 34B too, age 51 (almost 52), and I'm wondering if I'm too old to have the surgery. I mean, would it be ridiculous to have the surgery at my age? I was ridiculed all through high school, and even up till my mid 30's (by my mean SIL). I can't fathom ridiculing a girl for being flat-chested, can you? How did your surgery go? Do you like the results?

People who ridicule other people for the way they look are broken. I'm not talking about people who might comment on how ridiculous Madonna looks in her latest get-up, that's just being honest, but to look at another woman and size her up and find her wanting in the looks department is shallow and mean. I cannot imagine such a thing. Bras are undergarments, not indicators of sex appeal---or even, if may I say it, how sexy or loving a person is. I would have given away my DD cups for a smaller band size any day. The pendulum swings both ways. Too small say some; too big say others. We are waaaay to fixated on dimensions. It's just not right.

I am with Mary on this. if people are so shallow that can only judge you on the size of your boobs they are not worth knowing. I really cannot understand why women would want to put big lumps of God knows what into their body, unless they want a job as a porn actress. Use the money to have a great holiday my dear, and forget having them cut and bunged up with bits of plastic or whatever.

I'm surprised that anyone would call 34B flat chested. I always think of A cup or AA as small.

I agree with Lynne and jodevizes! I am a 34B and although I'll admit there have been occasions where I'd have liked a bit more volume (so to speak), I LOVE the size that I am (especially the older I get). There are definitely times in my life where I'd prefer not to have large breasts and would feel conspicuous with them (i.e. work, family functions, in everyday life where I want to wear a tank top without being "poppin' fresh"). I also feel a B cup is exactly the right amount for me to be able to "work with" if I want to be a tad sexier for a night out or whatever occasion. My best friend, who was also a 34B, got implants and is now nearly a D. She has a broader frame than me, so they look pretty natural, not out of place. She's now very happy with them and had wanted them for a very long time. But I dearly wish that more people would find what they DO like about their bodies and not let Victoria's Secret, Hollywood, or a bully, tell us what our most important feature is. I know few - if any - people consciously allow that to happen, but it's like osmosis. To me it seems like letting them win. If you do get them, one interesting word of advice my friend's doctor gave was that saline will sometimes slosh audibly, especially in the smaller implants.

Everyone has their insecurities. Not everyone is born with a well proportioned body. I can understand why some people would choose surgery if they needed it. However, I can't understand those who are already beautiful and still going under the knife. I personally find 34b's to be small but the look also depends on one's frame. Are you a small, medium or large framed person? I'm a medium/large and I have 38c's. I was once 38d and I loved it. They've shrunk since I lost weight. I miss my old size. I enjoy larger breasts. For me, they make me feel feminine and sexy. And don't we all feel that way about parts of our bodies? For some it's the hips, or the booty, or the legs but whatever it is, it makes us feel sexy physically. Feeling sexy mentally is a whole 'nother topic though. I think if you are responsible and outweigh the pros and cons of this surgery, hey, just do you. It's your life, your body. You're the one who has the feel comfortable in your own skin. Just be sure you're not doing something unnecessary to yourself.

Hi. I joined last night and have read several threads. This is my first post and I'm excited to be part of what seems to be a very considerate and supportive community. This "boob job" thread caught my attention because I've recently had breast reduction surgery. Before the surgery I was spilling out of a DD cup and my plastic surgeon expects that after everything heals and moves into proper shape, I'll wear a C cup. I was well-proportioned until about ten years ago when my body seemed to expand overnight. I went from loving my body to being embarrassed and ashamed. My breasts seemed to lead the way, entering every room before I did. I couldn't find clothes that fit, my back and shoulders began to ache, and I developed a rash under my breasts every summer. All in all, I was a pretty miserable girl! After speaking with my doctor and consulting a plastic surgeon, I decided to undergo surgery and I'm so glad I did. My only regret is that I didn't do it ten years sooner. All this to say that whether a woman is considering breast augmentation or breast reduction, my thought is that if you want it, go for it. Don't let anyone talk you into it or out of it. It's your body and you should be able to enjoy it to the fullest.

I've been considering getting a breast lift once I finish trying to achieve my "career". I've never been happy with the way my breasts have looked. Other parts bother me as well but in a few years, they'll look worst than they do now I'm sure.

You have to make yourself happy in life. Just don't go to the point where you're abusing your body and preventing age. That's just insane. Aging is beautiful. A few wrinkles and flaws here and there aren't going to kill ya'
