Just wondering if there is a term for people who develop other
peoples "SYMPTOMS"
I have a very close friend who develops my symptoms
for instance i'm Agoraphobic so now she's saying she's becoming agoraphobic she's take on all my symptoms
I'm Bipolar you guessed it yup now she's bipolar
when i describe to her what i feel a few days later she be having the same feelings
I do have a Therapist, Doctor PCP, and a nurse that does come to my home because i can't leave the house
I'm afraid she's gonna become me frown
She's already saying it's getting harder for her to leave her house
Is there a medical name for this
just wondering

There's a disorder called Munchausen Syndrome. You may have heard of Munchausen by proxy - that's when people make their kids sick in order to get attention. But plain Munchausen is when a person complains of being sick or makes themselves sick in order to get attention.

Then there's hypochondria where you worry about your health all the time. I think the two differ in that a person with Munchausen's will actually go out and hurt themselves to get into a hospital, whereas a hypochondriac will obsess over their health, but won't do any harm to their self.
