Legally Blonde (Reese Witherspoon)
Sixteen Candles (Molly Ringwald)

Down & Out in Beverly Hills (Bette Midler & Nick Nolte)
Coming to America (Eddie Murphy & Arsenio Hall)
Friday (Ice Cube)
Next Friday (Ice Cube)

.... the list goes on... all my favorites though. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Anyone else have favorites they want to share?

Galaxy Quest or Princess Bride!

Marian
BABY'S DAY OUT(I thought I broke a rib when I fell off the sofa laughing)

BETTER OFF DEAD("I want my $2!")

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN("Abbie Normal")

BLAZING SADDLES("It's twrue, it's twrue!")

HIGH ANXIETY(any ole Mel Brooks movie)
My current favorite without a doubt:

Austin Powers Goldmember

We laugh all the way through it every time! Our daughter (3.5 years old) is going to be FOXXY for Halloween. That should be good.
Those are good choices. Here are a few more...

Three Men and A Baby
Office Space (might make your workplace seem sane)
Big
City Slickers
I Love Lucy episodes (I doubt everyone will agree)
I love Breakfast Club.

Empire Records("His name's not Warren")

Or any Kevin Smith movie.
When I am really sick and in bed: Buckaroo Bonzai!

and anytime: I'm Gonna Get You Sucka
I'm totally about brainless guilty pleasure comedies on off days: Meet the Parents, Elf, Ferris Bueller's Day off, and definitely Miss Congeniality!

I can't wait for the second one either!
When I am really down and out I watch My Fair Lady, Bridget Jones Dairy, or either Princess Dairies movies.
By far,....BOAT TRIP!!!! First time I watched it I laughed so hard I cried. Seriously. It was great
A Mighty Wind
Best in Show
Mr. Blandon's Dream House
What's Up Tiger Lilly
Rocky Horror
Any MT3000
La Cage Aux Faux
Sleeper
Flawless
There are three that depend on what kind of bad day; <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

If someone made me really mad: The Fifth Element (I know most people would consider this action, but it is hilarious!)

if I just need a little bit of hope: While You Were Sleeping

And if I jsut had a real bluesy day and need to laugh hysterically: Rat Race (the 1st time I saw the scene w/ the cow I had to make my husband stop the tape because I almost peed in my pants!)

2 other good stadbys are: Miss Congeniality and Bruce Almighty (when he made the other newscaster speak gibberish - Auuuuughhhh!)
meet the parents
meet the fockers
i dont like any of those, LOL
I'd choose Hairspray with ricki lake!

meg
The Ref
Men in Black
Scary Movie & Scary Movie 2
Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Harold & Kumar
Wedding Crashers
Rent [not a total comedy, but several funny moments]
Old School
Dodgeball
Wedding Crashers (big Vince Vaughn fan)

"Classics" like Stripes or National Lampoon's Vacation
You know this is such a bad movie but parts of it are soo funny that I love it-- [color:"purple"] The Sweetest Thing [/color](Christina Applegate is hysterical in it). The scene when the pipes burst in the mens bathroom and they both get drenched with toilet water makes me crack up.
'Clockwise' with John Cleese. It's a good reminder that however bad a day you think you've had it wasn't really *that* bad!
Liar, Liar
Anything Ab Fab
Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers and (for a lot of cheese) When Harry Met Sally....
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase
Trains, Planes, And Automobiles definitely is around the top of my list for comedies. "Those aren't pillows!!!"

Bruce Almighty was excellent as well (though I'm not a huge fan of Jim Carrey's movies, I do love that one...and I think he's an excellent actor; but for some reason I haven't cared for the parts he's played in many). However, not only is this movie funny, but I found it carried a wonderful message as well. It really touched my heart.

I also love the Scary Movie series...they are just so over-the-top silly that you cannot 'not' laugh.

Will think of more later...

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase

Oh yes! Susan, that is one of my all-time favorite comedies...I watch it every year during the holidays. It's a classic! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
As people are writing "tag lines" I will too, but not until after:

First, the movies I listed in "watch over & over again" are the comedies that would cheer me up.

Second, thanx to someone for telling me where "I want my $2" came from. As I recall, that bit was really the only funny thing in the movie, wasn't it?

and finally, certainly a pick me up feel good movie is "The princess Bride" -

Vizini: Inconceivable!
Inigo: I don't think that word means what you think it does.
A movie bye
Master bean
Benny hill
Jim karri like Dumb and Dumber, Bruce almighty
Kriese talker like rush hour and
About TV serial
Friends and Charmed
"American Beauty" with Kevin Spacey and Annette Benning. Not funny to you? It's VERY dry and poignant humour. Good for transformational situations where you've been stuck and need to remember why moving on is freeing.
"Little Big Man" w/ Dustin Hoffman & Faye Dunaway .Just funny. Circle of life & human nature.
"White Chicks" yes, that's what I said, "White Chicks" for the ridiculous kind of funny. I guess I'm amused most by human nature...?
"Harold & Maude" Inspirational.
"Meet the Fockers" or "Meet the Parents" if you can stand watching some seriously bad luck fall.
Any stand up by George Carlin or Robin Williams or Whoopie Goldberg.
I just had major surgery (hysterectomy) and the princess bride is my favorite movie to watch. <img src="/images/graemlins/king.gif" alt="" />
Abbott and Costello meets ??? fill in the blank. They always make me laugh.
The Breakfast Club
The Wedding Singer or anything with Adam Sandler
All Scary Movie and Austin Powers
Office Space
Not Just Another Teen Movie
Many many 80s comedies... so much more... I LOVE comedy!
How about:

Arthur
My Blue Heaven
Fletch

Hurricane Graphics
The Princess Bride

"Give me the 65, I'm on the job"

Hurricane Graphics
Any Woody Allen film from the 70s.
Some of the Comedy movies that would cheer me up would be:
