I went and saw this one the other day. Especially as there are some tattoos in it, and the body art readers were searching for articles on it.

Not being a reader of the original HELLBLAZER, I'm sure that had something to do with me finding it to be the usual light entertainment action movie deal. I liked Keanu all cynical, and Tilda Swinton as an androgenous archangel Gabriel was fantastic.

Any one else? Any really angry HELLBLAZER readers out there? I hear they changed it *a lot* from the original story....

I went-I saw-I liked. I would ventureto say this is the best "acting" I have ever seen from Reeves. I have a serious Keanu jones and have seen all of his movies multiple times. When I first laid my tired old eyes on his sweet young glowing face in DANGEROUS LIASONS I said, "hubba-hubba what have we here?"

Aside from my aside I would like to add that this movie was very well done and the FX were great. I LOVED his apartment...now someone tell me why this was rated R? I mean other than to get the 13-24 y/o male demigraphic to come and try to sneak in..no sex(sigh), one F word (makes for PG-13), and the gore was laughable when compared to any episode of "CSI"...I could only guess it was to make nice with the Catholics who take it on the chin...anyone?

Was it actually scary? I can't tell if it's a horror movie or not from the trailers.

I must admit that I would go see a dog food commercial if someone said Keanu was in the crowd....I am weak...

I really enjoyed this movie as well. They changed a few things from Hellblazer like the main character. In the comic, John Constantine is a blonde and British. We all know Keanu isn't either of them. I knew going into this that there would be some differences, but being prepared made me enjoy the movie more. I was a little surprised to see how well it did opening weekend considering it was rated R. I heard they are already in talks for a sequel so there is another movie to watch for.

I am ashamed to admit that I waited to see this movie until it was on DVD (I hang my head in shame in front of the Keanu Reeves Fan Club Committee. For my punishment, I will not be able to watch The Matrix for a month. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> )

But Constantine was a very good movie! I like the fact that they are taking our favorite comics and turning them into some very entertaining movies (X-Men, Spiderman, V for Vendetta).
