Good movie.
This is so much better than the original (i did not hate the original but i did not love it either). The action is good but I much preferred the humor. I was surprised when I saw the name Quentin Tarantino in the opening credits and I laughed happily when I saw him, sure his character does not last long but it was awesome the time he was there. The standoff with all the guns being out of bullets between El Mariachi and the man who came out from the hidden room was for me the best scene of the movie. I also loved the boy and I was very happy to see that he lived at the end. What I also loved is that the man who played the original El Mariachi is in it too (i actually was not too sure until i checked it out before writing this to be sure).
The cinematography is bad. The directing and script are average. The acting, special effects, editing, sounds, costumes, sets, story, music and makeup are good.

Thanks for the mini-review Nancy. It's plain to see that even in technically the same genre, action movies, people have different tastes on what types of action movies they enjoy - which is a good thing.

This movie I could of seen many times before but I wanted to see the original first and that took me years to finally get it on television with subtitles and then I had to wait until the remake was showing.
