Well, it seems Wall Street believes this will be a short-lived shutdown. The stock market was up today. Of course, the longer it drags out, the more likely stocks will become volatile.

Perhaps the bigger issued is the fact that many people won't get paid and the businesses that serve the federal employees will see a decrease in business. We'll see what happens and how much it affects investor confidence.
