And as to the "brother and sister" monikers - dave is correct. We call each other by brother or sister because we are all God's children, not because we are "related" through Adam & Eve.

Biblical History discounted most women and rarely counted them. A women had to have a significant or unique contribution to the history to be mentioned by name or counted.

Adam and Eve had many children, both boys and girls. The Bible only names Cain Abel and Seth due to the story of the first murder. The Bible then follows the ancestory of both Cain and Seth to explain the nations that were created out of them.

If you really want to know the truth, a good writer who has looked at the question of creation is Lee Strobel, his book a case for Creation.

Lee Strobel is a former self proclaimed athiest. He was a Crime Journalist for the Chicago Tribune. His wife became a believer and this nearly destroyed their marriage. He was determined to find the truth and show her that Christianity was a farce. He used his skills as a court room journalist to dig up evidence and piece together history and religion to find the truth.

I encourage you to truly find the truth, to explore, ask questions and search for answers.

If you believe every word of the Bible is literal then if they did not have sex with their actual brothers and sisters then you would also have to admit there were other people on the Earth besides Adam and Eve.

But then again it would have been breaking Gods'Laws since he said do not sleep with the daughter of your father nor the sister of your Mother, etc. in the Old Testament. Would he have allowed his own laws to have been broken?
